I have a genuine passion for teaching and believe that learning is a fun and exciting process if approached in the right way. I am determined and energised to facilitate the student in performing the best of their ability. The primary focus will be on exam performance, but crucially without jeapardising real world application.

I have experience in teaching at GCSE, A level and IB, as well as younger students looking to gain entry to a top school to embark on their academic journey.

It has been a privilege and a pleasure to watch my students grow in skill and confidence, as they realise that topics that they had previously found incomprehensible can be explained simply, and in ways that are easy to remember. They frequently then go on to obtain top grades, surpassing their expectations and there is nothing more satisfying than unlocking their potential and making a positive difference in their lives.

Tutoring Experience

I have a strong track record of assisting students get into highly selective schools and prestigious universities. This is my specialist area and I offer a tailored approach to maximise chances of getting into your target school.

I have had the opportunity to assist students from those that have a natural flair for a subject and looking to push themselves further, to those who have recently lost confidence in their abilities after a mock exam result. It has been really rewarding to be able to support students from a whole range of different academic backgrounds.

I have over 10 years experience of successfully tutoring students to achieve top grades at GCSE and A-Level, and of gaining places for my students in the best Russell Group universities, including Oxbridge, LSE, Bath, Bristol, Nottingham, Imperial, Durham, and also some of the very best selective schools in the area, including St Olaves, Newstead Woods, Whitgift, Trinity, Wilsons, Sevenoaks, Tonbridge, Eton, Westminster, St Pauls, and City of London, amongst others.

I also have experience of the US university system and have prepared students doing their SATs.

Tutoring Approach

My approach to tutoring is simple. I aim to build a professional but friendly rappour with my students and deal with them in a firm but fair manner. I believe that it is important to get a good grounding in the basics and build up once the ground work is in place. My style is to identify areas of focus for the student through speaking to the student and their parents. I'm often told by parents that I've enabled their children to finally understand subjects that they've struggled with, and nothing is more rewarding than seeing the impact that this can have on their confidence and future life choices.
