I am a fully qualified school teacher with over 14 years of experience in education. After obtaining my teaching qualification and a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Bedfordshire, I have taught and held senior leadership responsibilities in two schools in Bedfordshire. More recently, I have been working in alternative provision, designing bespoke learning plans for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
I offer personalised tuition in Key Stage 1 and 2 Mathematics and English, as well as SATs preparation. Tuition is available online or at my home, with the option of small group sessions at a reduced rate. In addition to subject-specific lessons, I can support students with homework across various subjects, study skills, and revision sessions, tailoring my approach to meet individual learning needs.
I have dedicated the majority of my career to teaching Year 5 and Year 6 pupils (ages 9–11) and have extensive experience in preparing students for their Year 6 SATs. In addition to subject-specific instruction, I provide targeted support in exam techniques to enhance progress and maximise attainment. Between 2020 and 2024, I served as a marker for both the reading and SPaG papers in the SATs test cycle. I take great pride in fostering the academic and personal development of the students I teach, helping them build confidence and achieve their full potential.
My tuition approach is structured, personalised, and professional. I incorporate regular informal assessments to identify each student’s needs and adapt my teaching accordingly. My lessons are carefully tailored to support individual learning styles, ensuring that every child receives targeted instruction. To maintain engagement, I present topics using a variety of methods and build students’ confidence through diverse activities. Recognising that confidence is a key factor in academic progress, I foster a supportive and encouraging learning environment. Every child is treated as an individual, and I design a bespoke programme to accelerate their learning and help them achieve their full potential.
