Tutoring Experience

I have 18 years of teaching experience in total, primarily in Key Stage 2.
More recently, I spent 10 years teaching in a junior school in Birmingham. Here, I earned a promotion as head of year 5 and subsequently head of year 6, which involved preparing the children for their SATs examinations.
I'm currently teaching a year 1 class in an infant school, where phonics and reading are the main focus areas.

Tutoring Approach

Developing positive and meaningful relationships with pupils has always been at the forefront of my teaching practice. I firmly believe this is the basis to the success of a child's learning journey.
I am very much a positive teacher and have always encouraged children to receive recognition in this way, helping to boost confidence in themselves and their abilities.
