I'm a professional civil servant currently working at the Houses of Parliament and teach on the side because I enjoy it!
I have had several students on first tutors, and have managed to help a number of them succeed in entrance examinations in english literature, from private school entrance exams at 13 to Oxford University interviews. I have also taught in Uganda, South Korea, and in Oxford.
My methods are heavily personalised in order to encourage the creative and high-level thinking that helps students achieve the very best. I've always found that students perform better when they learn to love the subject and bring techniques for studying english into everyday life. As a result, I focus on storytelling and engaging learning techniques rather than rote learning and will tailor all my lessons to suit your needs.
