Laetitia

I'm Laetitia, incoming junior doctor to the NHS.
I'm originally from Thailand and France but have been in the UK for the last seven years. I have 4 years experience of mentoring and tutoring young people through science, languages and admission into medical school.

I speak French, English and Thai and happy to facilitate teachings in any of these languages.

I passed the French Scientific Baccalaureate (A*), before doing a Year of Biomedical Science at the University of Brighton before transferring into a Medical Degree at the Brighton and Sussex Medical School.

As a european-international student in the UK, I'm also happy to share my expertise in navigating the UK medical school and higher education system for a seamless arrival here!

Tutoring Experience

I hold a Masters in Medical Education (Distinction), accredited by the Academy of Medical Educators.
I have worked numerous years with my local medical school with their Widening Access and Outreach programme. I have also thought international students in Switzerland and from Thailand, successfully supporting them getting into british medical schools (eg.King's College, Norwich Medical Schools).
I'm experienced navigating the UK medical school system, preparing applications, reviewing personal statements and interview (both panel and MMI) prep!

Tutoring Approach

I'm passionate about teaching and medical education. My philosophy is to work with the student to find the most appropriate pedagogy and teaching style that suits them best! I have a holistic approach to my teaching, and use multiple tools of learning: a session is never boring. Each session is tailored to the student's needs, using diagrams, videos, exercises!
