I am currently 32 years old and I hold two degrees. My first degree was based in Manchester and I qualified in Sociology and Criminology and my second degree was the Primary PGCE where I specialised in Maths as I have a strong love for learning and enjoy teaching the future generation. I was fortunate to have great teachers and tutors as a child and that is one of the reasons I am so dedicated and committed to the education sector as I enjoy giving back and helping children reach their full potential.
I am currently a Year 5 teacher and have full time experience teaching the primary curriculum in a classroom across Year 2 to Year 5 and I have previously tutored children at their homes but would now like to provide tutoring opportunities by teaching online. I have been in the education sector now for six years and I have been able to help children with tutoring by identifying their specific needs and identifying ways to help cater the learning to how they best understand. I have experience of working/volunteering in over 7 different schools and have tutored four children over the course of the five years.
I love using a very interactive approach and ensuring that the learning is very clear so that children have the full confidence to answer any questions or work that needs completing. I enjoy using a range of resources and practical equipment so children understand the learning alongside questioning so I can move their learning forward. It is important to adapt the learning to their specific needs and identifying what will help them flourish and what technique works best for them. I am a very enthusiastic, passionate tutor and devote time to my clients to ensure they are happy with the service they are receiving.
