Khayyam

My name is Khayyam, about to start my 4th year of my Masters of Pharmacy Degree at Liverpool John Moores' University. I am passionate about the acquisition of knowledge not just for the sake of exams but to become a versatile, competent and confident individual in the 21st century who can contribute to the betterment of society.
I am a firm believer that every student has the potential to achieve their goals and a tutor can help mentor and give the student the tools for them to build their success with their own hands.
I can speak four languages; English, Arabic, Urdu and Pothwari. As an extroverted, friendly and mature individual, I believe that I have the ability to tailor my skillset to the students I am dealing with, build a good rapport to prolong their motivation and desire to achieve excellent results.

Tutoring Experience

Tutored at Kumon during my Sixth Form studies,
President of the Liverpool John Moores University Islamic Society where I taught and hosted weekly discussion circles on a variety of topics including Mental Health, Theology, Character Development and dealing with common issues in today's societal climate.
Tutored the local Imam's son in Watford.
Mentored students at my Sixth Form, a Boys Grammar School and during my degree

Tutoring Approach

My teaching approach is to really get to the crux of what the student is struggling with and eliminate any deficiencies while at the same time building confidence before the exam season. I will teach them higher level content which is what I believe helped me achieve a Grade 9 in Literature and 7 in Language. I want to give them a academic compasss but build their own success using the tools provided so that they can learn and actualise their confidence so not only are they ready to achieve excellent results, but they are also eliminating exam stress. I also want to give them other advices such as career advice, how to improve mental health, become a more productive student and a bigger contributor to the world.
