Kevin
Hi, I'm Kevin, a friendly and patient full-time maths tutor.
After gaining straight A grades (before the days of A*) at GCSE and A-Level (Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry), and winning both of my schools mathematics prizes, I went on to study mathematics at uni. Since then Ive worked as both an Accountant and an Actuary before becoming a full-time maths tutor in 2012.
I consider myself an intelligent guy with a passion for maths and my strength is an ability to break maths down into its simplest building blocks, building from there and making sometimes complex ideas easy for others to understand. Im also patient and a good listener, with the ability to understand the way someone else thinks about a problem. I think its these qualities that combine to make me a natural maths tutor, and I find being able to make a difference for people incredibly rewarding.
Tutoring Experience
I have been tutoring Maths full time for 10 years now, teaching the GCSE, IGCSE and A-Level syllabuses many times each year, so know every corner of the syllabuses, as well as the individual requirements and exam question styles for all the main exam boards Edexcel, AQA, OCR, OCR MEI and Cambridge. I have also built up an armoury of tools to help students to learn and remember each bit of the syllabus, and I use some fantastic resources to help students consolidate and polish what theyve learned.
