Hi, I'm Kelly, a dedicated English and Law tutor with a strong academic and professional background. I hold a law degree from the renowned London School of Economics and have a training contract with a top London law firm, giving me firsthand insight into the demanding standards of English and Law in both academic and professional contexts.

Tutoring Experience

I have a track record of successfully teaching students from KS2 to Year 12 and bring 2 years and over 300+ hours of tutoring and mentoring experience to the table. My expertise spans across 11+, KS3, GCSE (particularly AQA and EDUQAS), IGCSE, and IBDP curricula, covering both English Language and English Literature. I also teach Law to undergraduate students, particularly with Family Law and Criminal Law. Moreover, I can help with proofreading and providing advice on personal statements, the LNAT, and university applications.

Tutoring Approach

My approach is tailored to each student's unique needs and goals. My primary objective is to help students enhance their reading, writing, and analytical skills, enabling them to achieve outstanding results in their examinations and foster a genuine love for the English language. I help students identify and analyse themes in various literature. I can help with works like Macbeth, The Handmaid’s Tale, An Inspector Calls, A Christmas Carol, 1984, The Crucible, and various poetry anthologies. I empower students with the expertise needed to confidently approach any poetry challenge. I achieve this through engaging methods such as interactive slides, thought-provoking questions, and dynamic discussions.

Meanwhile, for Law, I help students gain a better understanding of the material so they can get a 1st class in their assignments. I can provide focused help on one-off essays and assignments.
