Hello!

I am caring, enthusiastic and reflective teacher who has more than 8 years teaching experience as well as studying primary education specialising in English at University.

I am reflective and dedicated in my practise to ensure my students have high quality teaching and learning that allows them to thrive and achieve their personal best.

I really enjoy teaching and helping others so I can't wait to hear from you to start our learning journey together!

Tutoring Experience

I have experience in teaching students in a range of ages and abilities from 4-16. However, my expertise lies with primary education and the lower years of secondary education.

With more than eight years teaching experience, I have been able to help students of all abilities achieve their full potential whether that is to stretch and challenge or to give extra support and time to key areas of the curriculum. I have worked with students with a range of special educational needs, including autism and dyslexia, so I am confident in adapting my teaching and sessions to help them achieve academically, and emotionally. As well as this, I have experience in teaching students with English as an additional language.

I have experience in SATS preparation for KS1 and KS2 and other primary assessments, so I have a good understanding of how to help develop key skills and stamina for these examinations.

I can tutor in other primary curriculum subjects so if you are interested, please just ask!

Tutoring Approach

I strongly believe that all students deserve the chance to succeed in learning which happens through positive relationships, adaptive learning, and confidence building.

I pride myself on being able to build strong, positive relationships with my students, as I know first-hand that this is a huge factor to successful learning. By having a whole- student approach, the learner will build confidence in their abilities and develop a love of learning.

Every student learns differently, and I know how important it is to differentiate learning to allow them to achieve goals and find success, however that looks to them. I am a creative individual who is constantly learning to find new ways of engaging the student and to make learning fun!
