Kay's Feedback

Kay tutored my daughter from year 9-11. We went through lockdown during this period and so tutoring moved from in person to zoom/Skype.
In year 9 she was predicted a grade 5, she actually achieved a grade 7 in language and a 6 in literature. The strategies that Kay taught her in how to approach exam questions also helped her in other subjects.

My daughter took her GCSEs in English Language and Literature in Summer 2022. Kay provided online weekly tutor session for about 7 months. My daughter really appreciated how Kay took time to explain topics and provide background information. Sessions also covered the language and style needed to best answer exam questions.

As a result, my daughter achieved grades at least one (possibly two) higher than she was predicted at the start of the year. I would definitely recommend Kay to other parents.

My 15 year old son William has been tutored by Kay for just over six months now, I have seen a remarkable improvement in his understanding of English literature and his written essays are now excellent, his grades have improved at school and he is far more confident discussing the text and plots of his Gcse course material, both in class and at home,
she has a fantastic teaching manner, and my son is definitely benefiting,

William was tutored by Kay for 18 months and was predicted a level 3/4 by his school, he was very happy and confident with the answers he gave in his summer exam and he has achieved a level 5 in his English literature GCSE and is now at college. We are all delighted and would highly recommend Kay.

Kay has recently completed a series of intensive literature and language lessons on the run up to my son's GCSEs. Kay's support has been invaluable, an excellent teacher of very high quality who is extremely knowledgeable on set texts, techniques and strategies. There is no doubt whatsoever that my son has benefited from Kay's support and with hindsight we would have engaged far earlier. We'd recommend at the start of Year 10.

Kay made my son feel comfortable and confident and covered areas we had concerns about.

Kay is a very good teacher who works to the abilities of my two children. She has a lovely nature and explains thing in a manner my children understand. The children have come on really well since being taught by Kay. I would recommend Kay to anyone who is thinking of home tuition.

Kay is very impressive with her calm soft voice. My son feels good with her. It seems she is got all that needs to help my son improve in English GCSE - literature and grammar.
