I have been teaching since 2008 and have been solely teaching English since 2010 covering a number of specifications and texts.
I have been the head of English and now I am an assistant headteacher who teaches English language and literature, and I am also responsible for running the examination series.
I am a keen reader and I love to further my own knowledge and understanding of teaching and teaching practices and how to utilise these in my teaching style.

Tutoring Experience

I have been teaching since 2008 and I am an assistant headteacher, teaching English from years 7-11. I currently teach GCSE edexcel English language and literature however, I have also taught the AQA specification. I have a good understanding of the texts that are on both specifications and have specialisms in Macbeth, An Inspector Calls, dr Jekyll and mr Hyde and Romeo and Juliet. I have also taught other texts on both specifications as well.
Although I currently do not teach A-Level, I have taught this previously under the AQA specification.

Tutoring Approach

I am calm and patient with my students and I ensure that they understand what we are learning and how best to succeed.
I believe that students need to feel supported whilst also being challenged to be their best.
I will work with students to achieve the best results possible and will adapt my style to meet the needs of the students I teach.
