Tutoring Experience

I am an experienced, highly-motivated, and passionate teacher with a strong commitment to raising standards across KS1 and KS2. I demonstrate consistently accurate assessment data, and rapid progress in English and Mathematics as identified by local authority and HMI. I have been working at an Ofsted rated “Outstanding” school for 8 years.

Skilled in providing provision for inclusion for children with SEND and EAL as well as able, gifted and talented learners.

I hold the National Award for SEN Coordination award and continue to develop a specialised understanding of the cognitive processes involved in learning with a particular interest in working memory.

Tutoring Approach

To begin we will have the opportunity to meet via Zoom and discuss how I can assist you. I will then complete some initial assessments to determine specific areas of need before developing a personalised learning plan which addresses these areas of focus.

When you feel happy with our plan we can organise for regular online tuition to begin at a time that is most convenient for you. These classes will follow the bespoke plans created and will involve a piece of work tailored to the learning need. This will be marked, with misconceptions addressed.

A detailed programme of homework is available for those that would like to continue to support learning at home between classes.

Maths:
A personalised Maths programme is designed to equip your child with the fundamental skills required for success in Mathematics. Using a range of resources, it covers all the essential areas of the school curriculum with a maths mastery approach.

English:
From the basics of reading, writing and spelling to comprehension and creative writing skills, a bespoke English programme develops the key skills that allow the learner to read and write fluently, confidently and with enjoyment.
