I have been a Languages teacher for just over 20 years and I still love teaching. I started with French and then developed a real passion for Spanish and Portuguese. I lived in Spain for a year so I achieved fluency and my accent is authentically Spanish. I aim to teach lessons that are varied and interesting supporting my learners to develop and deepen their understanding of both Spanish language and culture.

Tutoring Experience

I have been a classroom teacher for 20 years but have also tutored friends and acquaintances. I have also been an examiner for both writing and speaking examinations for GCSE and A-level Spanish, so I am up to date with exam requirements for these levels.

Tutoring Approach

I know how to support those who struggle as well as stretch the higher achievers. I want my learners to enjoy learning a language and I focus on building confidence. I am happy to work on all four skills but my speciality is conversation.
