I am Head of Modern Foreign Languages in a Secondary School in East Sussex and I am also a fully trained examiner. I have achieved 100% pass rate in my time working at the school with many students surpassing their target grades.
I teach French and Spanish from KS3 through to KS5 and I am fully trained on the new GCSE which starts this academic year for the new year 10 students.
I also have a lot of experience working with students with Special Educational Needs.
I have also worked at The Liverpool School of English delivering lessons to international students from all over the world. I have a wealth of experience with private tuition teaching French, Spanish, English IELTS and preparing students for the 11 plus with high success rates.

Tutoring Experience

I have been teaching languages for many years now in primary and secondary schools and I have been doing private tuition for over 15 years. I have tutored French, Spanish and English and prepared students for entrance exams.
I have a joint honours degree in French and Spanish from The University of Liverpool and a PGCE in primary and secondary education in French, Spanish and German.
I have also taught TEFEL at the Liverpool School of English working with a range of levels from beginners to upper intermediate.

Tutoring Approach

I am extremely patient and encouraging with all of my students. I begin by assessing my students needs and level and then I adapt my lessons accordingly. I like to make my classes as fun, relevant and interesting as possible, as this is the way we learn best, whether adults or children. Being the Head of Languages in a Secondary School I like to apply what works well in my current lessons.
