A caring, patient and kind maths tutor. I hold a First-Class Honours degree in Mathematical Sciences from City University, London, and an MSc Applied Mathematics at Imperial College. I thoroughly enjoyed studying mathematics and teaching others maths is a passion.
I am currently a working professional at IG Group as a Data Analyst, and have free time in the evenings and weekends to tutor.
I have tutored KS3 students at City of London Academy whilst I was studying my BSc, and have tutored privately for all ages.
I have helped students improve their GCSE & A level grades from failing to Cs and above.
I like to create a comfortable environment where questions are encouraged, no matter how trivial it may seem. I patient and slow if the student needs me to be, I’m happy to go through topics repeatedly until the student is confident with it. My approach is thorough and focuses on the student really understanding the mathematical methods, and I tailor it to each students specific needs.
I use a combination of my own questions, the students school material and past exam questions, making sure the student is independently answering questions as I guide them. This approach fosters critical thinking skills and empowers students to tackle challenges autonomously.
