Personal Description:

I have been teaching maths in a secondary school and also have experience of one to one tutoring. I am now concentrating on tutoring all ages up to and including GCSE and I specialise in supporting pupils that are not accessing the work in the classroom either in one to one tuition or with small groups. I also have experience of working with pupils who have SEN and enjoy developing techniques to support then.

Tutoring Experience:

I have worked teaching Maths in a secondary school for 4 years, also gaining experience and attending courses on supporting pupils that are dyslexic, dyscalculia and dyspraxic. I also tutor pupils throughout their secondary education and I am keep to work with pupils in primary schools as I feel that if the support is given at an earlier age accessing the information in secondary school becomes easier.

Tutoring Approach:

I aim to tutor to enable pupils that are not accessing the work to their full ability in the classroom to reach their full potential. I do this by adapting my teaching style to the learning style of the individual pupil and develope ways to make it memorable and enjoyable.
