I am currently the Head of Social Sciences at a high achieving school in North London. My students regularly achieve excellent grades at A level and GCSE in Psychology, History and Sociology. My students consistently achieve an A* - B at A Level and at GCSE regularly get 7-9.

I have competed a degree in History and Psychology (BA) at Keele University and hold a PGCE in the subject. I have completed a Masters (MA) in Educational Leadership and I am an experienced AQA examiner, so have an in depth knowledge of how to attain high grades.

Tutoring Experience

I have been a fully qualified teacher for over 25 years.

I have taught and have experience of all the major exam boards, including AQA, Edexcel, OCR and Cambridge. In addition to being Head of Department for Social Sciences I have also been a Head of History and Head of Sixth Form so possess key knowledge of the exam system and how to achieve excellent results.

I have written bespoke guides for my students and also have a vast collection of past exam papers in order to prepare my tutees for success. I am also an A level examiner.

Tutoring Approach

I very much focus on exam technique but also ensure that my students understand the syllabus content so that they are able to apply their knowledge successfully in the exam.

My tutoring style is about personalising teaching to the needs of the student and enabling them to understand complex concepts and theories in an accessible way.
