I am a qualified optometrist. I enjoy my profession however I also have a passion for teaching, I have been teaching students as a personal tutor for the past 12years, I have a degree in chemistry aswell as optometry. I am dedicated to my profession as a tutor and an optometrist, most of my students want to follow a career in the medical profession Optometry, Dentistry and Medicine I am also able to advise and guide my students who would like a career in these area. More importantly I focus on helping students get top grades which are required for entrance into university to read these subjects.

Tutoring Experience

I have been teaching A level chemistry, biology and GCSE double award and triple science for the past 12 years as a personal tutor, all my pupils have gained high grades including A stars, very recently one of my pupils got 11 A stars two of these A stars was in science and another pupils got three As two of which was in A level chemistry and A level biology.

Tutoring Approach

I am an excellent communicator this is essentional for both my profession as an optometrist and a tutor, I am very methodical and analytically minded, however I am able to teach at every level, Every pupil has a different learning style and I aim to be flexible in my approach to tutoring. I treat each student as an individual, I work with each student to find the best approach to suit their needs. I am a good listener and take on board what the student wants to gain. I am able to provide useful handouts and past papers, practice questions and set mock exams.

I ensure that a student is confident in the foundations of the subject. I have been a personal tutor for many years I have first hand experience of the examination system to provide the necessary support for a student to achieve the best grades.
