I am a student studying BA Psychology at the University of St Andrew's with the intention to continue this on to further academic levels. I took English Language and Literature for GCSE and English Literature for A-Level. I currently study English Literature as an additional module at university.

Tutoring Experience

I have been tutoring English Language, Literature for a year, and more recently as a foreign language. My students have varied from Year 2 to adults. My tutoring experience is via online lessons through another tutoring site that required tutor training and an interview to be accepted.

Tutoring Approach

I prefer to vary my approach to teaching in response to the learning style of the student. Everyone works in many different ways and I try to respond to that in order to ensure the student gets the best learning experience out of the lesson. In general, my lessons are taught via PowerPoint which I then send to the student as a PDF and are structured around what I have discussed with them. Depending on the style of the student's learning, I also include videos and exercises for a more fun learning experience. I may also set homework or work that students can work through during holiday times to further boost their confidence in the subject and increase their understanding.
