I have spent a year living in Austria as an au pair and worked for a year as an English assistant in France as part of my degree. I then worked at a German bank in the city before completing my teaching qualification.
I really enjoy being able to express myself in other languages and find it so satisfying to share my enthusiasm for learning languages with others.
I have taught in three comprehensive schools during my training and after qualifying as a teacher. My GCSE exam classes all achieved or exceeded their predicted grades.
I have taught adult evening classes and also taught business French and German to adults.
I have already had a number of one to one tutees who have all achieved better than their predicted grades after our sessions.
I have been teaching at a selective girls’ grammar school up to A Level/IB for eight years and my students have achieved outstanding results.
My teaching experience demonstrates that I can support effectively a wide range of students looking for different outcomes for their language learning.
My approach is individualised to each student, depending on which areas they wish to work on. I also adapt my teaching and activities for each student so that their experience is enjoyable and effective.
