Tutoring Experience

I've worked in schools for over 30 years teaching English, Drama and Psychology. I have tutored one to one and in small groups and love seeing students enjoy themselves as they progress. I also train teachers and work with universities at both under-graduate and post-graduate level. I work with adults, young people and children as a life coach in schools so am really experienced at supporting people with issues like stress, exam nerves, overwhelm, low self-esteem, anxiety as well as a range of other issues which can get in the way of learning. I love working one to one with students, to see them flourish and achieve more than they ever thought they would.

Tutoring Approach

Having been a teacher and life coach for so long, I know how important trust is in any learning relationship. I get to know my students really well so that they feel confident enough to tell me what they need help with and so that I can adapt the many strategies I have to suit what they need.

Above all I aim to foster confidence in my students, helping them to build a their sense of self-esteem and what they are capable of.
