My name is Julia. I am an experienced Maths Teacher with over 17 years of experience in education offering online tuition via Zoom and face-to-face tuition across Greater Manchester area. All my lessons are designed to your child's individual learning style and needs.

I am DBS checked.
I am an examiner for Edexcel, AQA and OCR.
I currently teach Maths in a high school in Manchester.

Tutoring Experience

I taught Maths in the different state schools and in the private tuition centres to the students of different abilities and needs.
I possess an extensive range of knowledge on the requirement of different Maths levels from 11+ all the way up to A-Level.
My lessons could aim for developing problem solving skills, raising confidence of those at risk of failure or boosting grades before exams.
I have experience of working with the EAL and SEN students so I know how to adapt my teaching style to the needs of those children.

Tutoring Approach

Maths can be a daunting and difficult subject but with the right guidance and support to understand the material it can be incredibly engaging, rewarding and even fun! As well as feeling accomplished from improved grades, a number of my students have gone on to study maths at A-Level and degree level as a result of our sessions, an international student went on to pass the entrance exams for her university of choice, and I have helped an adult learner prepare for the QTS Numeracy Skills Test, which she subsequently passed.

I take an individual tailored approach to each learner, based on their personality, learning style and needs, and I find an open and friendly style works best. I provide tips and tricks for exams, extra tasks to complete between sessions, and regular assessments – using up-to-date material from relevant exam boards – to help the student and their parents understand where we are with progress.
I am a qualified AQA, Edexcel and OCR examiner.

1) Tuesday 16.15 - 17.15 pm Year 7 Maths Group session (£15)
2) Wednesday 15.15 - 16.15 pm - individual session
3) Wednesday 17.00 -18.00 pm - individual session
4) Thursday 18.15 - 19.15 pm - Year 9 Maths group (£15)
5) Saturday 16.15 - 17.15 pm - Higher GCSE for Year 10-11 group sessions (£15)
All groups are 3-4 students only. Homework and detailed feedback are provided weekly.
