Hi!
I am a secondary school Maths teacher who has been teaching for over 20 years. I am an Economics graduate and hold both the QTS and PGCE qualifications.
I have an up-to-date enhanced DBS certificate.
I started tutoring Maths as an Economics undergraduate.
Following a successful career in insurance, I returned to my first love, teaching. After teaching abroad for 10 years, I came back to the UK and gained my QTS and PGCE between 2019 and 2020. I am now working as a full-time Maths teacher.
I have a passion for making the complicated sound simple and starting where the student understands.
Each of my lessons is tailored to meet the student's needs.
Clear communication with students and parents establishes goals and expectations for each of the tutoring sessions. This is important, as the achievement of each goal establishes confidence and promotes a growth mindset, reinforcing the value of effort and perseverance in the learning process.
