I am a mum of three with a passion for debate; hence my love of History. I also have a great love of cats, tattoos and baked goods. I am driven by a desire for social equality.
I am a qualified teacher and have been teaching History A level since 2011. I was course leader at two large FE colleges in Greater Manchester until very recently and during my time there I designed a very exciting curriculum. I have also been a personal tutor for many years, helping students with functional skills and UCAS applications. During my time in practice, I have had a 100% pass rate at A level, with all my students going on to the university of their choice. More recently, I have been teaching in a local secondary school. I specialise in Medieval History but have taught a wide range of topics, including Germany 1919-1963.
I believe that every learner can achieve the grades they want, with hard work and a good relationship with their teacher. I may not know everything but I will do my best to guide my students through their course; with passion and enthusiasm. My methods may not always be conventional but I will endeavour to help my students, in any way I can, to help them realise their potential and achieve their goals.
