Hi! My name is Josh and I am a third year Maths with Economics student at Loughborough University. I have had a clear and genuine passion for maths since the start of my education, and find extremely satisfying when a certain topic clicks or I complete a tough question. I also enjoy sports such as football and running, and compete in both as a hobby.

Tutoring Experience

I have been tutoring since I joined university in Mathematics, and can tutor up to A-Level Maths. This was through MyTutor where I was a part of their schools programme, where I would tutor students online virtually during their school hours. I have had experience with tutoring up to groups of 3, and have tutored a variety of ages and abilities across the GCSE to A-Level range. I achieved A*A*AA at A-Level, with both my A*'s coming in Maths and Further Maths.

Tutoring Approach

I am aware that each student needs a unique and tailored tutoring experience, whether that be focusing on the most difficult topics, going over the fundamentals or simply boosting enjoyment and confidence. Typically my approach involves an initial assessment of where the student is at academically, and then plan lessons accordingly for the individual where they can get the most out of the tailored content. I like to go through lots of examples, and encourage interactive learning and active participation in my lessons through the whiteboard tool in Microsoft Teams.
