I love to see young people grow and develop positively; in their knowledge of maths and their own self confidence.
Maths is a great subject which everyone is capable of doing - sometimes the biggest barrier is a student’s own self belief. In my teaching, I’m focussed on building this self belief and the necessary skills to be successful in maths.

Tutoring Experience

I currently work as a maths teacher in a local secondary school teaching both KS3 and KS4. However, for over 15 years I've been regularly teaching people of all ages in a variety of settings on a variety of subjects; from large groups to smaller groups and one to one's.

Tutoring Approach

Most importantly I want to help build confidence in my tutees that they can do Maths. Breaking down topics into small, bite-size steps is a big part of my teaching approach.
Depending on the student we will either look at syllabus that is provided from their current school or we will evaluate the gaps in the students knowledge and help to develop those areas. I'm very flexible to meet the needs of the student.
