Hi! I'm Joshua and I'm currently an undergraduate studying Aeronautical Engineering at Imperial College London. At A-Level, I achieved 4 A* in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry.

Tutoring Experience

For a year, I worked at Kumon as a teaching assistant helping children of all ages unlock their potential academically. This involved teaching them new concepts and making sure that it was easy to understand and allowing them to eventually be able to complete such work by themselves.

Tutoring Approach

As someone fresh out of the school system, I believe I know the best and most efficient way of learning content and achieving the best possible grades in GCSEs and A-Levels. The methods I used to achieve 4 A*s will be applied in my teaching. My experience teaching younger children at Kumon as well as my younger siblings at home helps me to recognise what students need to succeed. My lessons are targeted towards students studying their GCSEs and A-Levels. In my first lesson, I will assess you with a set of questions to see what level you are at and which topics in particular require more time and focus. This allows me to tailor your future teaching to how it fits you. In general, lessons will include an overview of the topic we are covering at a basic level as well as exam-style questions which will increase with difficulty as this is what I believe enables students to achieve the best grades. Any particular queries can be raised at any time during the lesson and these issues can be ironed out within the lesson. Each lesson will be 1 hour. I am also a firm believer that consistency is the most important thing in reaching targets, whether it be academically or in any other challenge one faces, therefore I also provide flashcards which the student can take and complete in between lessons which will keep their newly-gained skills in the best of their memory.
