Online Tuition for Law and Study Skills

I hold a Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelor of Law (LLB) from Durham University, where I received a high First Class (Distinction) degree and an award for the top mark in the year group. I was awarded First Class on both my LLM dissertation and my LLB dissertation, the latter subsequently published in a leading academic journal. I have also completed the Legal Practice Course (LPC) for which I received a Distinction.

Having undertaken a training contract at the London office of a leading American law firm, I worked as a solicitor for three years, specialising in international arbitration and litigation. I also worked on several pro bono matters dealing with human rights law and media law.

Given the breadth of my legal education and career, I am equipped to tutor students in all areas forming part of the LLB undergraduate course. I could also tutor postgraduate students on contract law, equity and dispute resolution (international arbitration and litigation). I am available for tutoring sessions on general academic skills, such as exam technique, revision strategy and research and essay-writing skills.

Tutoring Experience

I have experience tutoring law undergraduate students on essay-writing and exam techniques, as well as subject matter expertise relating to dispute resolution.

Tutoring Approach

I have experienced first-hand how a tutor can make an immense difference in terms of learning efficiency and, ultimately, results. At the first meeting, we will discuss extensively the specific assignments and general objectives you are working towards, as well as make a plan for how you will achieve them. The aim is that after each tutorial, you will be one step closer to those objectives, by ensuring that learning gained in lectures and seminars is consolidated and used in actual assignment practice. As such, essay and exam techniques go hand-in-hand with subject matter knowledge.
