I have a BA in History from Columbia University, New York where I received Dean's List Academic Honours and a Grade Point Average of 3.79.
I took A-levels History, English and Economics.
I am particularly interested in Russian, German and British history and the history of World War II and 17th and 19th English literature. I would love to share what I have learned about these subject areas as well as the best methods for organizing and presenting these often complex ideas.
At university I took a University Writing class in writing, improving and editing essays and subsequently led revision and essay writing workshops.
I have four sisters ranging from ages 11 to 23 so I have extensive experience in assisting with essay writing, planning and studying for all levels ranging from GCSEs to masters level.
I think I do not think there is necessarily a "best" way to learn. All tutoring should be tailored to the specific needs and interests of the tutee. I believe this is much more likely to create a more enjoyable and therefore more effective learning environment.
