I earned my PhD in HIgh Energy Physics on the LEP experiment at CERN as part of the team at the University of Birmingham.

Tutoring Experience

At Birmingham I taught A-level physics privately. I also taught an undergraduate mathematics class at the university.

Tutoring Approach

Much of the mainstream teaching of physics is a bewildering array of facts and formulae without history, context nor explanation of why it matters. This is where I start with tutees. In addition I believe that trying to master physics based on a one hour session once a week is doomed to failure. I take a very different approach.
