Tutoring Approach

I am a teacher who has had experience of teaching children of primary school age. I have specific training and knowledge that allows me to understand how primary aged children learn maths and English. I understand the common misconceptions children have and the steps that are needed to address these.

As a tutor, my starting point is talking to parents about what they feel their child’s needs are. During the first few lessons, misconceptions that need addressing as they may be barriers to making progress will often become apparent.

I understand that children learn in different ways. The approach I take to teaching takes into account of this. The sessions are tailored to the individual and how they learn best.
