Hi there! I am an experienced History teacher who enjoys delivering interesting and engaging lessons to my students. I continue to love the topics that I teach and I hope to pass this passion on. Most of all, I like to see my students enjoy their learning and in turn make strong academic progress.
Since completing my PGCE in History at the University of Gloucestershire in 2010, I have been teaching History in top UK independent schools around the south of England for the last 14 years, and I still currently teach in Cheltenham. My primary experience is in teaching GCSE and A-Level for a range of curriculums, specialising in European and American 20th Century history, and preparing students for public examinations. However, I have also taught students from year 7 upwards and have significant experience in preparing them for the Common Entrance 13+ and Scholarship examinations.
My approach is primarily driven by finding out how the student learns best and adapt my teaching accordingly, drawing on my years of teaching experience to build the best lesson possible for them. My teaching style can focus on content or question answering technique, or indeed a mixture, depending on what the student wishes the focus of the session to be.
