Thank you for taking the time to view my profile. My name is Jonathan, I am 38 and a graduate from Queen's University Belfast with a BSc Hons Degree in Biological Sciences. Due to the nature of my work I am well versed in getting the best out of my students by creating a relaxed and enjoyable learning environment.

Tutoring Experience

I have received both a Certificate in Teaching and PGCFE from the University of Ulster Jordanstown. I have worked as a Science Lecturer within the FE sector since 2006 and a course coordinator from 2011. I currently work as a Deputy Head of School.

With over 15 year of experience teaching Science I have taught students with a wide range of ability and learning styles. As a result I have developed multiple approaches in helping students perform to the best of their ability.

Tutoring Approach

It is important to provide an effective learning experience. I aims to build a good rapport with students and teach from a position of mutual respect. I believe it is important to tailor my approach to suit each individual student. I aim to break down the information and relate it to the real world and student interests where possible.
