I am a Medical student at the university of Nottingham and really enjoy teaching and mentoring younger students. I myself have had tutors in the past so I know what things are useful and not so useful in order to learn. I try to be as helpful as I can be and am always welcome to give advice on work-life balance and tips for those looking to get into medicine or other healthcare roles.

Tutoring Approach

My approach is to engage the student as much as I can, I like concepts such as active recall and pushing the student to recall as much as they can from memory with quick fire quizzes and on the spot questions,
I also think building understanding on a topic is crucial so taking time to explain each concept and making sure the student understands before moving onto something else is key
