I am employed as a University tutor and Research Fellow at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), and am studying for a PhD in epidemiology. I have a MSc in Public Health from LSHTM (Distinction), and a BSc in Natural Sciences from the University of Bath (First Class Honours).
My excellent understanding of the sciences, together with my strong interest, enables me to clearly explain concepts and ideas to students, and make them enthusiastic about the subject.
I provide online or in-person tuition in general science, as well as Biology (GCSE, A Level, Degree level) and Chemistry (GCSE and A Level).
In my current role at LSHTM, I lead seminars for MSc students and organise modules for the MSc in Public Health. I also provide one-to-one tutoring for MSc students, involving provision of academic and pastoral support. I have previously tutored multiple secondary school students in Biology and Chemistry at both GCSE and A Level.
My lessons are engaging and varied, and I focus both on teaching the concepts within a subject and developing excellent exam technique. I have excellent knowledge of current syllabus requirements across multiple exam boards.
My approach takes into consideration different learning styles and all lessons are tailored to the requirements of the tutee.
I am happy to provide online tuition or travel to students’ houses.
