I am an experienced leader in Education who is passionate and enthusiastic about Humanities teaching. Having qualified in Canada, I’ve been teaching Geography in Secondary Schools in London since 2009. In my time outside of school, I love travelling the world and spending time with my two year old son.

Tutoring Experience

I’ve been teaching Geography in Secondary Schools in London for 14 years and have been Head of Geography for 9. I have worked with many, many GCSE groups in Geography and more recently, Sociology. I am familiar with AQA and Edexcel exam boards for GCSE and currently teach Eduqas for GCSE Sociology. I have also worked as an examiner with AQA for A Level Geography (Paper 2).

Tutoring Approach

I always start off by gauging where gaps in knowledge, understanding and skills may be and addressing these. For exam year groups, we look at the tricky concepts and how to apply them to exam style questions. I am a reactive and adaptive educator and this means that no lesson, session or approach will be the same.
