I am a dedicated and experienced Spanish teacher with nearly 14 years of teaching across all age groups, from ages 5 to 18. My teaching background spans primary education through to GCSE and A Level, and I have consistently delivered high-quality lessons that are engaging, accessible, and tailored to the needs of each learner. Alongside my classroom roles in secondary schools and sixth form colleges, I have also provided one-to-one and small group tutoring.

I have held the role of Head of MFL, overseeing the delivery and assessment of Spanish at GCSE and A Level. My responsibilities have included conducting oral exams, marking GCSE writing papers, and mentoring trainee and early career teachers in Modern Foreign Languages. I am experienced with both Edexcel and AQA exam boards.

My approach is student-centred, with a strong focus on raising attainment and ensuring progress for all students through personalised teaching strategies. I am passionate about language learning and strive to make Spanish enjoyable and accessible for every learner.

I offer individual and group Spanish classes on weekdays and evenings, tailored to suit a variety of ages and learning needs.

Tutoring Experience

My career includes ten years at an 'Outstanding' secondary school, where I spent two years as Head of MFL. Two years at a mainstream secondary school teaching Edexcel GCSE Spanish, followed by a year at an 'Outstanding' sixth form college, where I was responsible for the full delivery of AQA A Level Spanish, including conducting A Level speaking exams.

My approach to teaching is positive, proactive, and personalised. I believe in creating a high-challenge, low-stress environment where students feel supported to take risks and grow in confidence. Every lesson is tailored to meet the individual needs of each learner, ensuring that all students—regardless of their starting point—are able to make meaningful progress. I strive to foster a love of language learning through engaging, inclusive, and well-structured lessons that balance rigour with encouragement.
