I am a friendly and patient tutor offering Maths tuition up to A level and Statistics tuition up to degree level.

Tutoring Experience

I over 4 years experience of helping both primary and secondary school students with Maths. Before becoming a Maths tutor I taught Statistics to Maths and Business studies students at the University of Salford. I gained a PhD in statistics in 2012.

Tutoring Approach

I aim to make the tutee feel comfortable in my lessons, so they will ask questions, however simple, and attempt to solve problems I give them. Confidence in being able to progress in Maths can sometimes be a problem. I aim to work with the tutee to build on their confidence. When I first meet the tutee, I will determine what level the tutee is at and we will discuss their objectives. I will then devise a programme which best suits the tutees needs. I will also ask about some of the tutee interests so we can solve problems, which will be of interest to them.
