MA Natural Sciences (Chemistry), University of Cambridge, First, 1993. Teaching / Education Experience: Over 12 years’ experience as a Teacher of Chemistry in comprehensive and grammar schools, the University of Cambridge and the University of Warwick. Experienced private Chemistry and Physics tutor of students of all abilities. A level Chemistry Examiner. Chemistry education development at secondary school and university level. Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry. I currently teach Chemistry to students in the 11-18 age range in a Warwickshire secondary school and hold an enhanced DBS check with this employer.

I started tutoring in 2001 whilst completing my PhD in Organic Chemistry at the University of Warwick. Tutoring Approach

I have a track record of exam success, and most of my students achieve grades 9-7 at GCSE and A*-B at A level. All my students make excellent progress under my tuition, and many go on to study Medicine, Chemistry, Natural Sciences, Veterinary Medicine and Dentistry at Oxford, Cambridge and other Russell Group Universities. I am a supportive and caring teacher who helps build student confidence in Chemistry. I gain enormous satisfaction from enabling my students to make progress and achieve their academic aspirations.
