Private Online Business Related and Psychology Tuition

I am a teacher of Business Studies and also the Head of Department for Business and Economics at the centre where I teach. I also teach Psychology at A Level, but happy to also teach GCSE Psychology.

NEW: Group Bookings - small group support focusing on skills and techniques to move students on to see further progress and also to build confidence in ability to tackle exam questions.

Tutoring Experience

I have been teaching since 2004 in two large secondary schools. I teach GCSE business up to A Level, including BTEC Business. I also teach AQA Spec B psychology at AS and A2 Level. Happy to support BTEC students who need additional support for coursework units, particularly the external exam units, Unit 2, 3, 6 & 7.

Tutoring Approach

I offer students, who are struggling or need a boost in confidence in their learning for psychology and business studies, the support they need to achieve improved and good grades. I meet students at their point of need and build on their strengths while improving areas for development/weaknesses. Students will need to be committed, dedicated and willing to put in the time to make a difference to their final outcomes.

I believe that one to one or small group work is an effective intervention to support students to aim for their target, or better, and understand fully that for some students they may require more time to read, reflect and to address questions, in addition to having time to plan what they need to do before they start a task.

I believe strongly in stretching and challenging students and supporting students to find their own understanding and then, using scaffolding, to bridge the gap to take them further and in order for them to gain the higher thinking skills required for good analysis and evaluation.
