I am passionate about education and I love the logic of Chemistry. As a dedicated Chemistry teacher my strength lies in helping students unpick the misconceptions about the subject and enabling them to have lightbulb moments when challenging concepts finally click. My goal is to inspire confidence in my students, empowering them to believe in their ability to succeed in Chemistry.
With over thirty years of experience teaching Chemistry and Science across a variety of educational settings—including challenging secondary schools, prestigious independent schools, and sixth form colleges—I bring a wealth of expertise to my teaching. I have worked with all major exam boards at both GCSE and A-level, which equips me to tailor my approach to any curriculum requirements.
Over the course of my career, I have consistently added value to my students’ learning, enabling them to achieve their highest potential. My students at both GCSE and A-level have regularly attained top grades, a testament to my commitment to their success.
When tutoring, I focus on quickly identifying the specific needs of each student. This personalised approach allows me to address gaps in understanding and provide targeted support. I closely monitor progress using exam-style questions and employ a range of techniques to suit different learning styles. My teaching always aims to challenge students to strive for the highest grades they are capable of achieving.
Although I am new to First Tutors I have tutored many A level and GCSE students to success.
