I am British with a passion for teaching and learning languages! I love to travel, especially in Europe, and put my language skills to use when I am there. I am originally from the north but have lived and worked in St Albans for 30 years and love my adopted town. Outside of work, I enjoy going to the cinema, travel, visiting the countryside and dining out.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught mainly Spanish with some French and English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) in a local university, adult education and a local secondary school. I enjoy working with all types of students who are interested in language learning for a variety of reasons. I am now working on a freelance basis and enjoy working in a one to one situation.

Tutoring Approach

My teaching approach is practical, relaxed and motivating without too much pressure. I am a patient tutor and enjoy sharing my knowledge and skills in order to help you achieve your goals. I focus on the 4 key learning skills: reading, listening, speaking and writing.
