Online Psychology and Sociology Lessons

I am an engaging and patient tutor, and I'm passionate about supporting young people to achieve their goals and grow. I have over 10 years of experience working with young people in the private, public and charity sectors, tutoring young people through exams and in applying for higher education. I have also supported young people who have been finding school difficult and are looking for extra support.

I am currently doing a doctorate in Clinical Psychology at UCL and have a Masters in Psychology from University of East London. I also have a Masters in Evidence Based Social Intervention from University of Oxford and a BSc in Social Policy from London School of Economics.

I have a comprehensive understanding of the psychological and sociological concepts taught in school and college, and lots of experience teaching and presenting psychological ideas in clear and accessible ways.

Tutoring Experience

I have worked with and tutored young people for over 10 years in the private, public and charity sectors, supporting young people through exam preparation and applications for higher education. I have significant experience supporting young people who are experiencing difficulties at school and collaborating with them to support their learning needs. In my role as an assistant psychologist and trainee clinical psychologist, I take a nurturing and young person-centred approach to support development and wellbeing.

Tutoring Approach

Central to my approach is the importance of good relationships in learning. It is important that the young person feels valued and believed in. I take the time to understand the young person’s learning style, their interests, strengths and areas they want support with and tailor the tutoring to fit their needs.

I believe that learning happens when a young person feels confident and skilled and I am passionate about helping facilitate this. In my role within psychology, I am aware of what aids learning and development and the importance of pacing the studies so that the young person has a solid understanding of each concept before moving on. I am passionate about supporting students to become problem solvers, equipped with a wide range of different methods and solutions and bridging the school experience with higher education.
