A native Mandarin speaker born and grew up in Beijing, China, where Mandarin originated. Worked in university as a teacher for 5 years after graduation from the same university. Have been living in London for more than 20 years and teaching Chinese language at Chinese Chamber of Commerce Chinese School (UK) for 20 years as the leading teacher for Mandarin classes.

Tutoring Experience

Experience as teacher in Chinese university, and Chinese language school in London for more than 20 years in total. During the years as Chinese/Mandarin teacher, also as private Chinese language tutor, received high recognition from students and their parents. There were two students of mine went to Eton College, and one went to Cambridge.
*ALL STUDENTS TOOK MY TUTORING, INCLUDING THE STUDENTS IN THE CHINESE LANGUAGE SCHOOL, HAVE ACHIEVED A* OR ABOVE DURING THE ACADEMIC YEARD FROM 2014 TO 2021.
*UPDATE: All STUDENTS took my tutoring HAVE ACHIEVED A* OR ABOVE in GCSE Chinese language exams in the academic year 2021-22, except for one with A.
*UPDATE: ALL MY STUDENTS HAVE ACHIEVED A* OR ABOVE in their GCSE Chinese exams in the academic year 2022-23; my A-Level students have gained outstanding results in the exceptional hard exams for 2022-23.

Tutoring Approach

I can teach Chinese in both traditional and simplified text (in writing language), following UK official exams such as Edexcel, AQA for GCSE and IGCSE, A-Level exams, and HSK etc. In my teaching, HSK curriculums, Hong Kong Chinese language curriculum or other text books are used according to student's preference. Tailored lessons to suit Mandarin students in different levels and personalised needs.
