Hi, I’m Jenny and I am an experienced primary school teacher. I love teaching and get a real sense of fulfilment when I see children thrive.
I live with my husband and daughter and two dogs who I love to walk every day. I enjoy swimming, singing in my local choir and archery. I also love to spend my free time learning new crafts as creativity is great way to relax.
I have over 20 years experience as a class teacher in primary education. I now provide cover teaching in my local school. I have experience teaching children with a wide range of needs and challenges and understand how to support each child to reach their potential.
I’ve successfully been the subject leader for maths for nearly my whole teaching career and so have a great knowledge of the maths curriculum across primary ages.
I have taught classes from Reception to year 6 so also have a clear understanding of the progression of skills in English and how to bring these to life in meaningful contexts.
I believe that every child should be given the opportunity to reach their potential and to support children in achieving this, it’s vital to build a positive, supportive relationship.
I will quickly explore your child’s learning style so I can adapt my teaching to their needs and use this approach to gauge where they are now in their learning journey and what steps we need to take together to progress. I will keep you up to date on their development throughout the sessions so you can support them and celebrate their successes.
