I am a qualified English teacher and AQA GCSE examiner. I am passionate about supporting students to achieve their potential in English.

I provide personalised one-to-one tuition and small group GCSE skills sessions. I work full-time as a tutor and online tuition is available for students nationwide.

Tutoring Experience

I have been working full time as a tutor for a year, working with GCSE and A-Level students including both school students and home educated learners. I have taught in secondary schools in Sheffield and also internationally in Abu Dhabi. I have a police check from Abu Dhabi, which is equivalent to an enhanced DBS check. I have experience supporting many English as an Additional Language students and scaffolding learning to support their level of English. I also have a TEFL certificate.

Tutoring Approach

All tutoring sessions focus on building confidence and developing academic skills. A bespoke tutoring plan will be created and frequent individualised feedback will be provided. Sessions include revision of key texts, planning and writing strategies and top tips for how to approach each question.
