Jeannine

An experienced A level Psychology Examiner and teacher for 20 years, plus an experienced Head of Psychology. I specialise in exam technique for A level Psychology to raise students' grades to A*.

My work as an Examiner for A level Psychology helps me focus students on the technique required to get the grades.

As well as teaching in a large sixth form and working for the exam board, I also tutor online which gives more flexibility to students (digital resources are provided).

As well as weekly sessions I also offer a series of intensive tutoring sessions when required.

I also work as a run coach and compete in running events in my leisure time, as well as managing a local running club.

Throughout my 20 years of teaching I have taught A level Psychology, A level Sociology, Math and Science (KS3-GCSE), Health & Social Care and PSHE. I am currently Head of Psychology and Sociology at a large Sixth Form centre.

Tutoring Approach

I quickly develop positive relationships with my students. This allows me to tailor my approach to the specific needs of the individual. Every student is different, so every approach needs to be different.

I build confidence within my students and ensure they feel comfortable to ask questions in order to ensure their success.

Working with the exam board means I also coach my students in examination technique and in how to gain marks in examinations (a key component in exam success!) as well as clearly explaining the subject content.
