Jeanette

I am a highly experienced, inspirational teacher of English Language and Literature, and offer engaging, stimulating lessons to increase KS3, GCSE and A Level grades. I provide constructive feedback on assessments, classwork, reading assignments, and home study. I have experience teaching/tutoring A Level, IGCSE, GCSE, KS3 and KS2. I am also an AQA Associate Examiner, and have extensive teaching experience in the both the state and private sector.

Tutoring Experience

I have over 20 years teaching experience, many as Head of English. My marking is recognised by Ofsted as being 'Outstanding and personalised, with ongoing teacher/student dialogue.' Following Ofsted recommendations, my departmental marking policy was adopted fully by all subjects and made school policy.

Tutoring Approach

I build positive student/teacher relationships by providing a supportive, friendly learning environment, and believe instilling self-belief, confidence and aspiration is key to raise attainment. I provide all resources - they are included in the fee. I provide close marking and feedback on all set work. I am also happy to tutor students in pairs or up to a class of four, at a reduced rate per student. Please contact me for further advice/ guidance about this.
