I studied chemical engineering at University of Birmingham and realised my passion for passing on knowledge to young people to increase their confidence and enthusiasm in Science. I want to make Science enjoyable by relating it to the real world through my lessons. I have organised crime scene investigations and shown how science plays a vital role in solving a crime scene. I want young people to enjoy Science, be confident in their ability and achieve the best grades possible. I believe every child deserves access to excellent education and I work hard to make science exciting, accessible and confidence boosting.
I am a passionate science teacher with 5 years of classroom experience in two outstanding schools and 10 years tutoring experience. Last year, my GCSE science class achieved the best results in the department and were the only class to achieve grade 9’s, outperforming triple science students.
I strive to build relationships with my students to understand how they learn best. I tailor sessions to each student, focusing on engagement, understanding and exam techniques. I am committed to ongoing professional development and regularly engage with the latest educational research to improve my teaching.
